Meet the Neighbors: Michael + Wendy on Tangelo Place

A few years ago, Michael and Wendy Brown were enjoying RV life. They loved traveling around to warmer climates and enjoying the sunshine. During one of their road trips, they made a stop at Encanterra® to visit their good friends, Phil and Donna Johnson, knowing immediately that it was a place they could see themselves enjoying. Shea Preferred Realty Group assisted them in finding the perfect resale home on Tangelo Place!

Originally from Camas, Washington, Michael and Wendy’s love story started when they were both attending the University of Oregon. Michael had been working at a local Safeway grocery store for a few months when Wendy started working there as well— and Michael noticed her right away. Michael loved it when Wendy would bring in Hello Dolly cookies to work. Soon they started dating and the rest of their love story is history! This August, they will be celebrating their 37th wedding anniversary.

Michael and Wendy have four grown children: three sons and one daughter. Their daughter is planning a beautiful wedding to be held this March back in Seattle. They love spending time with their children and visit them several times a year. In their spare time they love to travel and take cruises; one of their most memorable trips was a cruise to the Caribbean. Michael’s career with Safeway did not end quickly— he recently retired with them after 43 years of service. Wendy has also retired from operating a successful UPS store in Battle Ground, Washington.

Now that retirement is finally settling in, you can find them anywhere that involves the outdoors. They love to walk each day and are active members of the Hiking and Pickle ball club. Encanterra® is a dream come true for them and they love meeting new friends!
